Send OBS Output to Resolume via NDI

Once your Volta layer is composited in OBS, you can send the entire OBS output as an NDI video stream. This lets you bring it into Resolume Arena/Avenue, TouchDesigner, or any other NDI-compatible application for further processing and live show control.

  1. Install the DistroAV NDI plugin for OBS

Download and install the DistroAV plugin from github.com/DistroAV/DistroAV. This open-source plugin adds NDI output and input capabilities to OBS. Follow the installation instructions for your platform.

  2. Enable NDI output in OBS

Restart OBS after installing the plugin. Go to Tools > NDI Output Settings and enable the Main Output. Your OBS scene is now broadcasting as an NDI source on your local network.

  3. Receive the NDI stream in Resolume

Open Resolume Arena or Avenue. Add a new clip, click the source dropdown, and look for your OBS NDI feed under the NDI sources list (it will appear as your computer name). The composited Volta overlay from OBS will appear as a video layer you can mix, effect, and map in your Resolume composition.
